Up the Pyramid

Well I am sorry. There is some stuff I wanted to post about but so far I’ve not had the time.

So I am afraid all I can offer just now is this YouTube vid about where we are now, and where we’re going to be soon.

I wanted to get time to askĀ  ‘where are we on the Pyramid?

We’ve had the economic crisis, we’ve enjoyed the Currency Wars for the last two years, and after Currency Wars come Trade Wars. Obama is now rattling his Sabre to commence a trade embargo against China, as they are charged with artificially keeping down the value of Yuan currency so making their exports to the USA cheap. Cheap enough for the USA to keep buying Chinese goods.

The Obama embargo will add tariffs to these imports raising the retail price by a margin of taxation. This is the first salvo of the commencement of Trade Wars.

Who is going to benefit? Will it be the hard pressed squeezed middle class Americans who actually have a job? This tariff tax is only going to make things more expensive in the shops and that is going to hit the 44 million unemployed food stamp consuming American’s very hard. It is going to lead to a situation where the shops are full of stock and you can’t afford to buy any of it.

Obama and the political circles will proclaim this is what America needs, to compete on an equal footing and by bringing Chinese goods up to this new more expensive level that will then allow American companies to compete even though the Chinese are not playing fair with their currency devaluations.

It presupposes there is a manufacturing basis in America on a like for like basis with the Far East, but more over, where this is not apparent, will there be funds available to make the investment in manufacturing to facilitate this? All on the basis, presumably, that if China does devalue the Yuan over night, then the need for the tariffs goes away, and so does the investment in your manufacturing facility.

No. Things do not work like the politicians promise us. The effect of these tariffs will be the first step to putting products in Wal Mart out of the reach of squeezed middle class pushing them further in to desperation. The political leaders will have created this problem and as all hope and despair evaporates our leaders will come up with the solution. Lets go to war with someone. If we can’t buy or negotiate for their resources we’ll take it at the point of a gun. The problem was caused by XYZ not devaluing their currency. Its not us, we’re not the problem, its them. The military industrial complex is the only thing America is good for. What else does America have?

Its an odd state of affairs. America, the most indebted nation, has lost its triple A credit rating, while China, who is America’s biggest creditor, never had a triple A rating. When you fall out with your partner is it about her shoes, his nail cuttings. who’s got the Tv remote? Or is it usually, the root of it, who’s paying what bills and it ends up over money? You fall out over the money and the bills.

After Trade Wars comes Real Wars.

When playing chess the outcome of the game is usually determined in the early stages by the positions that are built up by each player even before the first pawn falls. These moves may seem innocuous to the untrained eye, but an experienced player can read the threats which grow and develop at each stage. They can see the traps which are being laid.

Right now, the nations of the world are organizing and positioning themselves – financially, diplomatically, and militarily – for a struggle which will alter the global power structure irrevocably.

It would be impossible to understand the economic collapse which is slowly unfolding, and the great war which wall almost certainly follow, without taking into account the stakes of this global chess game.

World War III is not going to be an accident. It will not be caused by an unfortunate chain events that the U.S. struggles to avoid. It is a goal, a specific objective that must be reached in order to force a cultural shift that the population would otherwise never accept. It is only from this context that the events unfolding in the world right now make any sense.
